About Me

A new blog to hopefully surprise and delight your eyes and ears with a whole range of bands ranging from 60s garage rock, through psychedelia, kraut-rock, space-rock, punk rock, noise rock, shoegaze, post-rock into the avantgarde, via all compass points in-between.

All comments more than welcome.... enjoy the ride!

Blogs I follow:

Theme by: Miguel
  1. The Outcasts - 1523 Blair

Snotty garage/psych from San Antonio, Texas…

  2. 3 Notes
  3. One more good people one more….my dog has been at my feet for at least the last hour mithering me with that look that communicates “I’m bored I want to go out you selfish git, get your fat arse off that PC and stop posting that weird shit”

So I leave you in Texas….to which I’ll return probably tomorrow (but in a totally different way)

    Sonic Peace to you all

  4. HP Lovecraft - The White Ship

    Beautiful…

  5. The Dirty Filthy Mud - Forest of Black

This band came from Oakland, California and their limited output included this mind melter full of Moogs being twisted inside-out and sideways….

I go down to the seashore to wash my brain

I never come back feeling the same….

  6. Fifty Foot Hose - Red The Sign Post

Psych, proto-grunge and screaming Moogs in this, a single from the 1968 album “Cauldron”

  7. The Human Expression - Love At Psychedelic Velocity

Always loved how this song just slows down then keeps on coming back at you like an express train…

  13. The Loose Enz - The Black Door

Another obscure US psych band this, this time doing a very passable impression of the Doors but atmospheric & moody in their own right.

  15. Kaleidoscope - Flight From Ashiya

Not to be confused the American psych band of the same name, this to me is one the great UK psych singles.

    Nobody knows where we are…
